Kangaroo Island, because of its variety and abundance of wildlife , has often been described as a "zoo without fences". Third largest in Australia after Tasmania and Melville, Kangaroo Island, 174kms long by 60 kms wide, is big in all but population. Separated from the mainland for thousands of years it retains plants and animals extinct elsewhere in Australia. This is surely a great tour not to be missed!

Aldinga Tours have been touring Tasmania for 30 years and we have hand-picked our favourites to ensure you will have a memorable tour.
Come with us to discover a place which is magnificent and wild, full of stories, history and colourful characters.
Australias smallest state has over 40 per cent of its land reserved as national parks and world heritage wilderness making it a wonderful touring destination. Cruise the Arthur River situated in the greatest expanse of cool temperate rainforest in Australia at the Tarkine; visit the most photographed waterfall in Tasmania at Mount Field National Park and cruise in the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park with its dramatic mountain peaks, spectacular gorges and world-famous rivers.
The West Coast Wilderness Railway has us travelling aboard a steam train from a bygone era which journeys deep into Tasmanian wilderness. Hear about the hardship of creating a railway through rugged terrain, across deep gorges and up steep mountains under the power of the only operating Abt rack and pinion railway still working in the Southern Hemisphere.
Enjoy the stories of Tasmania at Yarns Artwork in Silk where large quilted silk panels were created by the people of the Meander Valley showing their life; Port Arthur Penal Settlement includes a guided walking tour and harbour cruise and The Ship That Never Was which is Australias longest running play and tells of the escape from Sarah Island, the harshest penal settlement in Tasmania.
Our accommodation is mostly in 4 star properties to ensure you have a comfortable stay with all breakfasts and three course dinners included. Most lunches are also included with a highlight being the Distillery Café at Hellyers Road Distillery.
From the moment you board our Coach, you will be treated to a high standard of accommodation, attractions and friendly service to ensure you have a quality holiday.
